The Mondragón City Council has agreed to partner in SHREC project on transition to sustainable energy together with seven other European institutions.
A group of local stakeholders have been formed in Mondragon for the execution of SHREC project: City of Mondragón, Mondragon University, Goiener, H-Enea Living Lab and Debagoiena 2030 Innovation Platform.
The above mentioned stakeholders will participate in the project and share their valuable experience. The project will last for four years and will be divided into two phases: in the first phase, an analysis of the situation will be carried out, along with the definition of the action plan and the action plans will be executed in the second phase.

According to the City Council, the participation of this project will contribute to the city: urban spaces and the improvement of the quality of life of citizens, introduction of CO2 emission reduction projects, the promotion of innovation in the development of new renewable energy technologies, the launch of communication campaign to raise awareness of the effects of climate change.
