The current status of SMART WASTE activities, and more specifically the launch of Activity 4 - Policy Improvements were at the heart of the latest partners meeting of the project on 6 November. Happening once more online, the meeting begun with a brief update on the project activities scheduled for the ongoing semester, a presentation of the definition and characteristics of policy improvements (according to the rules of the Interreg Europe Programme), as well as an overview of the template to be used for reporting improvements.

Subsequently, representatives of the ARRR and the Municipality of Kolding presented two practical examples of their respective interventions to improve public policy. The meeting continued with an open discussion about the content of the presentations.

Partners got acquainted with the tools that will support the development of improvements in their public policies, namely a template to describe good practices and a matrix for the comparison between good practices and needs by each partner.

Despite the long lasting COVID-19 restrictions and their negative impacts on envisaged dynamic of the project implementation, partners are very optimistic and they have begun this new project activity with great enthusiasm.
