On Tuesday 18 May the LIFE WEEE project held its final event online. This project aims to encourage citizens and companies to more carefully manage the collection of electrical and electronic waste (WEEE), to improve the model of regional governance and to encourage the collaboration and sharing of information between the institutions.

Participants of the event discovered the SMART WASTE project thanks to a presentation of the Resource Recovery Regional Agency (ARRR), SMART WASTE's Lead Partner, focusing on the project's activities to support innovation in waste management and related good practices & possible policy improvements.

After an overview of the Interreg Europe Programme, the presentation focused on SMART WASTE's aims, activities implemented so far and tasks under development, including results achieved, ongoing and planned activities.

Being part of the LIFE WEEE final event in Tuscany has proved as an effective way of keeping local networking going and to provide contacts for further cooperation on the local level.
