Apeldoorn took part in the European Week for Waste Reduction 2021, in the framework of SMART WASTE, by organising a contest between the employees of the Municipality of Apeldoorn. They were challenged to send in a photo or vlog of themselves reducing waste at home.
After a week of competition, between 20 and 28 November, the most beautiful picture and short video has been selected and the winner chosen!
Laura won this beautiful Lucky Cup with a lid made of coffee grounds.
How is Laura sorting waste at home?
In the kitchen she has a small bin for bio waste, a large bin for plastic/metal/drinks carton and a small one for residual waste. Outside, a big orange welly bin is for collecting plastic, a blue one for paper and cardboard and a green for biowaste.
Laura is also preventing waste when going to work. Look at her zero waste kit: a foldable lunch box and a bamboo tea cup.
