With its Action Plan, ARRR has been working on introducing a new action to support circular economy through waste recycling in the Tuscan ROP ERDF 2021-2027. This Action is now one step closer to complete implementation!
Indeed, on 17 October, the Tuscany Government approved the final version of Tuscany Regional Program (RP) for European Regional Development Funds (ERDF) 2021 – 2027. The approval follows the European Commission Implementing Decision for approval of said ERDF RP.
Tuscany ERDF OP for the current programming period includes Specific Objective 2.6. “Promoting transition to a circular and resources efficient economy” that will provide - through a call for projects - EUR 50 million to co-finance investment in municipal waste separate collection facilities & additional regional recycling capacity for municipal waste and waste from any other sources.
This specific objective is actually the policy improvement at the core of ARRR Action Plan developed during the first phase of the SMART WASTE project thanks to a close cooperation with local stakeholders and project partner’s representatives.
