On 23 March 2020, Massimiliano Di Mattia, on behalf of SMART WASTE Leading Partner ARRR, took part in a call with representatives of Tufts University. The meeting was agreed upon after contacts trough Interreg Europe Policy Learning Platform.
Participants shared their knowledge and expertise on the subject of waste management and the circular economy, with a specific focus on waste from the textile industry.
Topics discussed included the existing European regulation for the textile sector, the New European Action Plan for the Circular Economy, chemical recycling of plastics and, of course, SMART WASTE activities and perspectives.
Participants agreed upon the usefulness of the call and of keeping up with sharing information on topics of common interests.
