The Regional Action Plan for the Utrecht Region deals with the need to restructure the support actors for SME support and a need for financial instruments that help support innovative SMEs in the field of Healthy Urban Living.
At this stage two funds are ready to be launched ; one is a proof of concept fund and the other is a participation fund.
The launch is planned early 2020 and the funds will be part of a new support actor 'regional development company' that is being created at this moment. T
he final go/no go decision on the establishment of the regional development company still has to be taken by local politicians, so next couple of months are important for the future of support actors and availability of instruments in the Utrecht region.
