On January 28, 2021 there was a bilateral online meeting as part of the AgroRES project - Investing in Renewable Energies for Agriculture, which was attended by a representative of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin and employees of the Marshal Office of the Lubelskie Voivodeship Departments of Strategy and Development and the Environment and Natural Resources. The objective was to discuss the current activities of the AgroRES project and to draw initial conclusions after completing the draft Regional Self-assessment document "AgroRES - Renewable Energies for Agriculture: investments and diffusion". One of the most active experts of the Local Stakeholder Group, a specialist in the field of Renewable Sources Energy, especially as regards to biogas plants and the use of biomass, was invited to join the discussion.
During the meeting, the main focus was on the preliminary analysis of the available information and studies on RES in the Lubelskie Voivodeship that declared solar and biomass energy to have the greatest development potential. As suggested by our invited guest, it is for these two areas that a detailed SWOT analysis will be prepared, which will then be the basis for the development of the Action Plan for the Lubelskie Voivodeship. It is worthy to emphasize that the meeting sparked many interesting comments and observations, and our regional associate declared the willingness to continue cooperation on the document.
