The 4th Local Meeting by Arsial was held on 1 July 2021. The event was held in hybrid mode. There were in total 40 participants of which 28 were participating remotely. The rest 12 participants were hosted in the beautiful location of Cincinnato Wine Resort in Cori (Latina), one of the ten best practices selected by AgroRES.
The meeting covered introduction the Agrores project, presentation of the Cincinnato Cooperative, review of the state of renewable energy in agriculture in Lazio, presentation of the authorization system of renewable energy in the Lazio Region, discussion on the AgroRES action plan, round table discussion on renewable energy in agriculture and presentation of the next steps of the project.
The local meeting was an opportunity to discuss with the competent regional planning bodies the first proposal of the AgroRES Action Plan by Arsial, also in the light of the RRP (Recovery and Resilience Plan) Italy. In the context of the action plan, Dina Maini from Arsial proposed a creation of a digital platform for the authorization system of renewable energies and their monitoring in agriculture. The proposed digital platform would be compatible with other databases already digitized or to be digitized by the regional legislation in force. She also proposed a creation of a competence center in this subject area.
The context and the state of the authorization system in Lazio were illustrated by Dr. Sandra Di Ferdinando. The round table moderated by Dr. Sergio Ferraris, was attended by Dr. Domenico Bertolucci, Dr. Carmela Di Giorgio and Dr. Silvio Cicchelli, regional managers responsible for regional planning in the field of renewable energy. The debate was also attended by the new general director of Arsial, Dr. Agr. Fabio Genchi who has, among other expertise, a long experience in the regional agricultural authorization system.
Nazzareno Milita, the president of Cincinnato Cooperative, presented the photovoltaic system installed in the winery of the cooperative. The photovoltaic system has given significant economic returns to the cooperative.
Towards the end of the meeting, Dr. Giorgio Galotti of Ecosistemi Foundation summarised the final results of Lazio self-assessment. Dr. Paolo Collepardi presented an interesting and innovative good practice selected by AGENEX, leader of the project, realized in Extremadura: a floating photovoltaic system.
Finally, Dina Maini from Arsial launched the second proposal of the action plan addressed to the energy communities which will be the topic of the next local meeting to be held in October.
