The 5th local AgroRES meeting of Arsial was held in live streaming in the cultural centre Cento Incroci of the Lazio region on 25 November 2021. The topic of the meeting was energy communities and agrophotovoltaics.
Both the Councillor for Agriculture and the Councillor for Ecological Transition attended the meeting. After the greetings of the Councillor for Agriculture, Enrica Onorati, Andrea Ferrante of the biodistrict of Via Amerina and Forre spoke about the interest of the biodistrict in becoming an energy community on the basis of a newfound sense of local participation, also based on the experience of the municipality of Gallese. After this, Cristiana Avenali from the Regional Office for Small Rivers and River, Lake and Inlet Contracts took the floor and recalled the fundamental role given to energy communities within the regional strategy for sustainable development. Cristiana Avenali pointed out that small municipalities can play a fundamental role in this recalling the Ventotene experience. These presentations were followed by two more technical interventions. One by architect Giancarlo Salamone of the GSE, who illustrated the concept of the energy community, and another one by Attilio Piattelli of Italia Solare, who explained the concept of agrophotovoltaics.
The meeting ended with a speech by Roberta Lombardi, Councillor for Ecological Transition, who recalled the various actions carried out by the Lazio region to promote renewable energies and reconcile involved interests, and hoped that the various already established territorial communities could evolve into energy communities.
Dina Maini, AgroRES project manager, reminded the project stakeholders and multifunctional agricultural operators of the next step of the project: drafting of an action plan to be proposed to the Managing Authority of the POR FESR and invited stakeholders interested in participating in the study missions to be carried out next year abroad at the total expense of the project to write to [email protected].
