The Energy Agency of Extremadura, AGENEX, held its 5th Local Stakeholder meeting, in a virtual format, with its Managing Authority on 14 March 2022. This new meeting aimed to explain the progress made on the Extremadura Action Plan.
The Extremadura Action Plan is focused on implementing new Energy Communities, with shared ownership of renewable energy installations, with the collaboration of public entities and citizen participation.
AGENEX addressed with the Managing Authority offer advice and support in this matter due to the experience that the Agency has in renewable energy installations. AGENEX will evaluate the viability of including community energy projects in rural municipalities as part of the pre-feasibility study before implementing the Action Plan. From creating a regional Energy Community to preparing, implementing, and monitoring processes.
