With the support of FIDAF (Italian Federation of Doctors in Agronomy and Forestry ) the AgroRES partner ARSIAL organised a webinar on renewable energy and energy efficiency in agriculture and livestock farming.
The webinar, held on 15th of July 2020, gathered 100 registrations and 55 participants. The event started with welcoming speeches by the President of FIDAF, Andrea Sonnino, and the President of ARSIAL, Antonio Rosati. The audience was also greeted by the Director of the CAR agri-food center in Rome, Fabio Massimo Pallottini.
These introductions were followed by speeches that focused on presenting good practices in the energy efficiency and renewable energy fields.
- Dina Maini - ARSIAL Manager and AgroRES manager for Lazio, presented the state of the art of the project, updating the situation after pandemia caused by Covid-19.
The descriptions of three good practices already identified followed and were presented by the respective speakers:
- Miguel Acebes - TULARÙ Farm
- Flavio Pezzoli - CAR Centro Agroalimentare di Roma
- Carlo Tomasetto - Agricultural Farm Maccarese
Nicola Colonna - ENEA (National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development) then illustrated a selection of good practices identified by the other European partners of AgroRES.
Carlo Alberto Campiotti - ENEA spoke about how to practice energy efficiency in the agricultural sector. And finally Vincenzo Alfano - CREA (Council for Research in Agriculture and Analysis of Agricultural Economics) reported on the harvesting and logistics of pruning: the Fiusis model and possible application in Lazio.
The webinar was moderated by Giorgio Galotti from the Ecosistemi Foundation that collaborates with AgroRES project.
