The first eBussed stakeholder meeting in Utrecht
On 22 November 2019, the first regional stakeholder meeting for the eBussed project was held in Utrecht, the Netherlands. About 25 stakeholders were present, ranging from governmental agencies, e-bus companies, NGOs, public transport providers, companies providing charging infrastructure, and utility companies.
The main aim of the meeting was to communicate the objectives of the eBussed project, to give a snapshot of the status quo in the other regions involved in the project, and to collect the specific needs for the Utrecht region. The needs were clustered in four themes: technology, procurement & business models, drivers & barriers and e-bus education & users.

eBussed is a European Union funded Interreg Europe project, in which several European regions participate including Turku, Utrecht, Hamburg, Malta, Livorno and Tolna. It supports these regions in the transition towards low-carbon mobility and more efficient public transport in Europe by promoting the use of e-buses.
The ultimate goals of the project are to develop and implement action plans for further zero-emission buses in each region.
