MateraHub engages for the first time the main local institutions, the university and various associations in the work of the ECoC-SME project.

Participants at the first Local Learning Lab organised in Matera  were discussing how holding the European Capital of Culture event can foster youth policies and entrepreneurship in the city and Basilicata region. The event managed to assemble different actors and stakeholders who had never before thought of working together to make their actions more effective.

14 representatives of local-regional stakeholders discussed about the current situation and challenges and shared some already existing good practices. All participants agreed that they need to work together in order solve the main problems in the Basilicata Region: depopulation and low levels of youth engagement.
