"The Role of Individual Firm in Economic Resilience workshop" took place on the 6/10/20 and was moderated by Dr John Hobbs, Lead Partner, and Mr Piotr Zawada of Rzeszow Regional Development Agency. We hosted 70 people in our webinar.
Foundation is especially important in the response to Covid-19. The consortium is working to develop Action Plans which will support the re-opening of industry and those members of the workforce affected by the crisis getting back into employment.
The webinar was an opportunity to present nine examples of how companies across Europe are fighting coronavirus pandemic.
"Actions to increase economic resilience on the bases of an example of an automotive industry company"- Pawel Tetela of BorgWarner Rzeszow
BorgWarner Inc. is an American global supplier of components and parts for the automotive industry, known primarily from products for drive systems, including manual and automatic transmissions, transmission components, etc. The General Manger of Rzeszow branch, presented solutions that the company used to minimize the influence of the pandemic on the firm's economy.
"Student Inc. Supporting Students Entrepreneurs"- Carole O'Leary from Ireland
Student Inc. is an acceleration program for student entrepreneurs that involves cooperation with three third-level institutions. The program run in June, July and August, where a total of 30 students worked full-time on their business ideas at three on-campus incubators at University College Cork, Cork Institute of Technology and the Institute of Technology Tralee.

PBN is a regional development organisation focusing on the strengthening of regional SMEs, clusters and industrial parks. Its objective is job creation and the improvement of the living standard in the West Transdanubian region through services delivered to targeted stakeholders. The presenter explained assumptions of the company activity.

MicroENTRE is a research unit at the University of Oulu. It supports northern regions in creating evidence-based platforms for micro-enterprise growth. Their research co-operation covers almost 50 countries.

AGS engineering GmbH offers individual automation solutions for machines, production lines, robots, up to industrial control technology for machines and buildings. For special machinery, production systems and industrial building automation, customer-specific software is planned, developed and run on site. The scope of services also includes the planning of system electronics and control cabinet technology, connection to higher-level control systems or quality management systems, and the development of applications for industrial image processing.
