Based on the Interreg Europe Foundation project's study visits and meetings engaged in by Pannon Business Network Association (PBN) developed an Action Plan with the support of local stakeholders. The main aim of the plan is to define the key indicators of resilience and to help companies become more resilient.

The main elements of the action plan:

  • Preparation and contracting

During the preparation, the resources required for the implementation of each task and activity will be specified. Contracts will then be concluded between the interested parties in order to finalize them.

  • Identification of resilience companies

The activity involves analyzing a database of 10,000 data points, conducting interviews with 20 companies, and creating a resilience composite index. The goal is to identify factors influencing corporate resilience and understand how to enhance competitiveness and value creation for resilient firms.

  • Strengthening the research and development competence and market orientation of the participating university

The task includes mapping European and non-European university samples, focusing on knowledge transfer organizations with EIT Manufacturing's help.

  • Implementation of pilot projects for demonstration purposes

The first step in the implementation of the pilot projects for demonstration purposes is that a development offer will be developed, for the primarily identified domestic manufacturing companies. on the basis of the resilience composite index. Packages made up of a portfolio of services include custom enhancements that can provide efficient and measurable solutions for the operation of a growth-driven company.

According to the latest information, the GINOP Plus calls have been suspended, and currently, negotiations are underway with the Commission regarding their continuation. The announcement of the new calls may take place in the first half of 2024 at the earliest.

Until the release of the GINOP + Programme announcements, the PBN had established a close working relationship with the local municipal authorities. This collaboration was centered around the implementation of various initiatives and projects within the framework of the local urban development strategy known as 'SZOMBATHELY 2030.

The activities undertaken within this partnership encompassed a wide range of projects, events, and community engagement efforts. Importantly, all of these activities were meticulously aligned with the specific objectives and aspirations outlined in the local action plan of FOUNDATION.

By aligning initiatives with the action plan, PBN played a vital role in making local businesses more resilient. This resilience-building process involved providing support, resources, and guidance to entrepreneurs and enterprises, enabling them to navigate economic challenges more effectively.
