On November 12, Irene Ruiz on behalf of MOMAr scientific team participated in the first local face-to-face meeting of the European HORIZON «Be.Cultour» program, managed in Spain by the European Programs office of Teruel Provincial Council (DPT), and which includes the Rio Martín Cultural Park as a pilot area for the study and implementation of practices. The objective is to create a community committed to transforming the future of cultural tourism under the motto: "I am also the axis of the project".
Thirty-five local actors have begun to work on different participatory and collaborative activities to increase their competencies as the first step of the project's action plan, which will lead to the generation of new resources for sustainable tourism management and the acceleration of companies adapted to the circular economy.
The Provincial Government of Zaragoza, through the MOMAr project, has been invited to participate in this project that is carried out in the Rio Martín Cultural Park –the Cultural Parks are a management figure identified as a good practice of the MOMAr project- sharing their vision on the field of sustainable tourism, one of the axes that are being worked on in the development of management models for Singular Rural Heritage. The collaboration between the two projects will continue in the future, trying to create new synergies that will be transformed into ideas for efficient heritage management.
Prior to this first face-to-face meeting, an online meeting was held to disseminate the keys of the "Be.Cultour" project.
