The European programme MOMAr (Models of Management for Singular Rural Heritage) is conducting a study in the management of their territories heritage models, starting and being developed during the second semester of activity. This study aims to know and analyze the reality of each region participating in the project, to know-how is being managed the natural and cultural heritage in rural areas of Europe to extract, finally, best practices in management models.
Thus the six partners, Provincial Government of Zaragoza, the Territorial Administrative Unit of Mehedinti County, Province of Groningen, the Ministry of Regional Development and Transport of Saxony-Anhalt, Corsican Region and Regional Development Agency of South Bohemian analysed their own territory and region models of heritage, identifying good and bad practices, to be shared later on with the other partners during the semestral Interregional Meetings.
Scientific method
The work of studying management models follows a standardized guide elaborated by MOMAr lead Partner, Provincial Government of Zaragoza, which will be implemented equally in all the territories. These guidelines address the analytic method considering general information of the entity that manages the heritage, either it is material, immaterial, or natural; the legal framework of the entity, such as geographical area, guardianship authority (authority that assumes economic and legal responsibility), its management body, organization, planned activities, economic management, and source of financing. On the other hand, the activities and projects carried out by the different entities in relation to the management of the property, as well as its dissemination, are also analysed.
For this purpose, partners are achieving complete fieldwork and subsequent evaluation in order to collect the required data and finally conclude on best practices to put in common the next Interregional meeting that will take place in Groningen, Netherlands next semester.
