Between 7th and 8th of November in city of Bydgoszcz a European Congress of Agribusiness Managers had place.
This event was aimed at agribusiness managers and intended to provide them with an annual update on the trends abundant in the agricultural area, bringing innovative solutions and growth options into focus. It was a great opportunity for exchange of experience and transfer of knowledge from scientific circles to the agribusiness environment.
During the first day Congress disused about:
• Plant production: now and in the future
• Climate change and challenges for agriculture
• Development potential of the agribusiness sector
The second day of the Congress has a European dimension because it was a chance to present good practices identified in NICHE project where Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship is in partners’ consortium:
• Presentation of the NICHE project - Małgorzata Kruk, Department of International Cooperation of the Marshal's Office of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship
• Support for innovation in agriculture and food development - Brian Mc Dermott, FoodOvation Center center set up at North West Regional College in Northern Ireland
• Development of small food businesses - Lucian Cuibus, Association for the Support of Small-Scale Farming from Romania
• Innovations in production processes and support in improving existing products - Andre Veskioja, Bio-Competence Center of Healthy Dairy Products from Estonia
• Production of dried, organic beef - Lauri Bobrovski, SirLoin OÜ – Estonia
European Congress of Agribusiness Managers was organized and realized by:
• Employers - Lessors and Farm Owners Association from Bydgoszcz
• European Landowners’ Organization from Brussels
• Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship from budget of the NICHE project co-financed from European Regional Development Fund
