Hampshire public sector policy makers have come together with key business support agencies in the region to share economic issues and bring the business community closer to local and regional government.

The One Stop Shop project was identified as potentially giving the UK some new approaches and devising new solutions to supporting the creation of new business in the region.

Membership of the group includes the Leader and Chief Executive of Hampshire County Council, as well as chief executives of the Local Economic Partnerships and business representative organisations including WSX Enterprise, Hampshire Chamber of Commerce, Federation of Small Business, and the Institute of Directors.

This new group will be called the Hampshire Business Engagement Forum and focus on business related issues as well as regional economic strategy and maintain an overview on any EU related projects affecting the business community.
