Last week, we've written about creating of ESA BIC Poland. When you already know what is it and what goals does it want to achieve, let us present some institutions that are going to take part in this business venture.

Let's start with ASSECO POLAND.

Asseco Poland is the largest Polish software producer and its headquarter is located in Rzeszow. For more than 25 years, they've been developing technologically advanced software for companies of the key economy sectors. Today's Asseco Poland is the result of the merger of Asseco Poland (former COMP Rzeszów), Softbank, Prokom Software and ABG. COMP Rzeszów was founded by Adam Goral (current president of Asseco Poland). In 1991, at the beginning of its activity, they were   mainly involved in the production of software for cooperative banks, later expanded its activity to the banking and finance sector, insurance, public administration and industry. On September 27, 2004, the company debuted on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The company's shares increased at the opening on the first day of listing on the WSE by 28% above the issue price (PLN 94) and cost PLN 121. In 2005, their name was changed to Asseco Poland SA.

Asseco Poland specializes in the production and development of software. The company builds and implements IT systems for the banking sector - over half of the banks operating in Poland use their software. The company also has solutions for insurance institutions, implemented in the largest enterprises of this sector and dedicated systems for public administration, built among others for the Social Insurance Institution, or the Ministry of Interior and Administration. Asseco Poland also operates in the energy, telecommunications, health care, local governments, agriculture and uniformed services as well as international organizations and institutions such as NATO and the EU.

Now ASSECO also wants to operate in the space sector. As we wrote last time, they are the members of Polish consorcium of ESA BIC Poland that is going to start its operation this year.

ESA BIC associates startups, which are based on business concepts related to the comic and cosmic industries. Innovative entrepreneurs locating business in this type of incubator gain not only office and logistics facilities but also technical and business support, assistance in obtaining financing and establishing business contacts. They also have the opportunity to raise capital from ESA and receive capital loans.
