On 14 and 15 May, 2019  - in Katowice, Poland - the huge event for startuppers will take place. I write here about European Startup Days, that we have already written about here.

During European Startup Days, the winners of Startup Challenge will be presented.

What the Startup Challenge is?

It's a competition, that gives great opportunity for finding a business partner. The Competition is directly connected to European Startup Days which will host thousands of investors, who are ready to invets their money in new businesses. Unfortunately, the application is over now, as the event is coming soon. We have received some info about its progress so far.

This edition of the challenge has the biggest number of applications as almost 300 startups from few continents have applied. Of course, the biggest number is from Poland, but there are also applications from Germany, Czech Republic, China, Spain, Singapore, USA, Hungary as well as from Great Britain. The client & lifestyle category enjoyed the most popularity, with 42 percent of applications being qualified. Startups that have not been present on the market for more than five years and have an innovative product, technology, business model or an optimized existing process in one of the six industry categories of the competition: new industry, environment, tradition & modernity , health & biotechnology, business processes, client & lifestyle.

What now?

The 100 best applications will now be selected and their authors will present their ideas on specially prepared stands that will create the Scale-up Alley European Start-up Days. On the stages of the European Economic Congress in the International Congress Center in Katowice and the European Start-up Days in the Spodek Sports and Entertainment Arena, 18 selected startups will be presented.

For me client & lifestyle category is the most interesting. I can't wait to get to see what will they present us. :)
