North-West Regional Development Agency - Romania
30 local and regional stakeholders have agreed to be part of the 5 years Regional Consortia for Creative Industries in the Northern Transylvania. First meeting took place in Cluj-Napoca on the 18th of May, hosted and chaired by the North-West Regional Development Agency team.
Local public authorities, chambers of commerce, universities, business associations and clusters, companies, hubs and NGOs acting in the cultural and creative sectors of the North-West Region of Romania have been informed on the objectives and tasks to be performed together in the next years within the Regional Creative Industries Alliance.
The meeting had both a regional but also an inter-regional approach. One the one hand, all members detailed their activitiy and contribution to the CCI, highlighting over 40 best practices in terms of activities or funding opportunities, within a workshop conducted during the meeting. On the other hand, first best practices findings following the inter-regional Study Visit in Austria from March 2017 were shared to the audience by the RDA team and the LSG representative participating: Austria Creative Industries Strategy approach and the corresponding financing programmes, co-working spaces and creativity festivals.
Next meeting in Romania will focus on the main needs of the CCI from the perspective of the stakeholders and will be organized in autumn 2017.
