City of Lublin - Poland
Following the personal invitations issued by Strategy and Investor Assistance Department of Municipality of Lublin, the project partner in Regional Creative Industry Alliance, about 40 of the most relevant stakeholders for the Lublin creative industries policies gathered on April 28, 2017. The aim of this meeting was to learn about RCIA objectives and to establish, formally, Local Stakeholder Group in Lublin. The participants represented nine sectors of creative industries: architecture, design, book and publishing, music, radio & TV, advertisement, games and software, and performing arts.
After a short welcoming, Mariusz Sagan – Head of the Strategy and Investors Department, and the Project Coordinator – presented the project’s objectives, the activities to be undertaken, as well as the role of the Local Stakeholder Group. Then, Diana Ciszewska – the RCIA Project Manager – talked through the main purposes of the RCIA project and its benefits for Lublin region. Later on, Joanna Hołda – Head of the Lublin Design Institute and, at the same time, member of Local Stakeholder Group – indicated examples of good practice shared by Lead Partner, Austria Wirtschaftsservice GmbH, in Vienna. The meeting finished with tour-de-table where each participant introduced his/her organization, its own successes and challenges regarding developing creative industries. It is worth to point out that the invitation to participate in the project met with great enthusiasm of the participants of the meeting.
The next Lublin Local Stakeholder Group meeting will take place in June 2017, when the experiences from the project partners meeting in Belgium are going to be presented.
