Regional Smart Specialisation Strategies (RIS3) are in the spotlight of the next thematic workshop of the Policy Learning Platform on Research and Innovation. The workshop on "Better Designing and Monitoring of RIS3 Strategies” will take place on 25th September 2019 in Brussels, Belgium. The RUMORE partner Regional Development Fund of Central Macedonia on behalf of the Region of Central Macedonia will join the workshop to share experiences from the Project HIGHER.
During the one-day workshop the experts Marc Pattinson and Arnault Morrison from the Policy Learning Platform on Research and Innovation will facilitate knowledge and assist regions on how to better design and monitor RIS3 Strategies for the next programming period 2021-2027. A special session will be dedicated to the presentation of good practices from running Interreg Europe projects, which illustrate the different projects’ methodologies and demonstrate good examples of tools for monitoring, evaluating and designing RIS3 Strategies. In this Session, the Regional Development Fund of Central Macedonia on behalf of the Region of Central Macedonia will share a good practice example from the HIGHER project, which relates to the design of RIS3 Strategies.
