On the 8th of October 2019, in the Aula of the Politehnica University of Bucharest, Romania Tech Nation has been launched. This is an initiative of the National Council of the SMEs Romania (CNIPMMR), in partnership with the Romanian Commercial Bank, an event held under the High Patronage of the President of Romania, Mr Klaus Iohannis.
OIR POSDRU Bucuresti-Ilfov has received the invitation from The National Council of the SMEs Romania (CNIPMMR) who is part of the stakeholders group in the project 40Ready"Strengthening SME capacity to engage in Industry 4.0" and a very important actor in developing strong and sustainable action plans for preparing SMEs for the industry 4.0 revolution.
Romania Tech Nation is a multiannual project regarding polycentric events, whose crucial main goal is to boost Romania's transformation through technology. The first step towards achieving this goal is to gather key factors in three strategic directions: the entrepreneurial ecosystem, the entrepreneurial education ecosystem and the public policies sector.
The main objectives of the program presented by the guests of the event, Klaus Iohannis, the President of Romania, Florin JIANU, the CNIPMMR President, Sergiu MANEA, BCR CEO, Iulian STANCIU, eMag CEO, Liviu Drăgan, Druid CEO, Măriuca TALPEȘ, Bitdefender co-founder, Ela MORARU, Google Romania CEO and Alexandru Mihailciuc, Global Head of pre-sales UiPath, are aspects of great importance for the 40Ready project:
- Promoting the technology and entrepreneurship ecosystem for the future development of Romania
- Presenting the transformational projects carried out by representatives of the local technology ecosystem
- Providing know-how and essential resources for students, young entrepreneurs, start-ups and SMEs.
Four members of OIR POSDRU Bucuresti Ilfov attended the event. During network sessions, some potential stakeholders such as Politehnica University of Bucharest and SMEs that work in the IT field showed interest in the 40Ready project.
