The Western Macedonia University of Applied Sciences (TEIWM) organized the 2nd ex-ante workshop, last 22nd of November 2017 continuing with the procedure of the Ex-Ante Assessment of the Regional Action Plan with the title “District heating projects with the use of Biomass and other similar sources, for the use of Renewable Energy Technologies in Public Buildings of small municipalities in Western Macedonia”.
The results of the questionnaires that were distributed to the personnel of the regional municipalities and of the interviews with the Mayors – Vice Mayors or the Managers of the Municipal Enterprises were presented to the participants.
The obstacles, weaknesses, opportunities that were identified were pointed out and the technical experts proposed the basic objectives of a successful regional action plan. At the workshop, 20 representatives of the following municipalities, institutions, organizations and companies were present: Municipalities of Florina, Prespes, Kozani, Amyntaio, the Mayor of Deskati, Public Power Corporation Renewables (PPCR), ESCO companies, biomass units manufacturers (Philippopoulos SA) etc.
Earlier, at 11.00 the 3rd Stakeholders Group meeting took place as well.
