Czech Moravian Guarantee and Development Bank (ČMZRB) and the Prague City Council concluded on 6th December 2018 an agreement on the creation and management of the INFIN 2018 Loan Fund. This agreement will enable Prague’s innovative entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs with a short history to draw financial instruments in the form of preferential loans from the Operational Program Prague – Growth Pole of the Czech Republic (OP PGP).

New entrepreneurs with a history of maximum three years of operation will be able to get a preferential loan of up to 3 million CZK (120 000 EUR), and up to 90 % of the project’s eligible expenditures. Other companies will be able to get a preferential loan of up to 15 million CZK (600 000 EUR), and up to 50 % of the project’s eligible expenditures. Preferential loans are currently designed as interest-free loans and are not burdened with any other fees.

Thanks to FINERPOL, one of the main aims of the INFIN 2018 Loan Fund is to increase the supply of accessible funding for energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. “We are very proud that thanks to the support of Interreg Europe we can contribute to the global initiative of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by supporting Prague’s energy efficiency companies with this newly designed financial instrument”, says Karel Andrle, the OP PGP Managing Authority’s director.
