The next LCA4Regions stakeholder meeting of the Lodzkie region will take place on 27 July 202, organized by Lodzkie in cooperation with Lodz Agglomeration Railway. It will focus on rail transport. Not only Lodzkie is investing in railways, but also 2021 is being celebrated as the European Year of Railways. Thus, the seminar will discuss the potential of railways in the region in terms of energy transition, reduction of harmful emissions, applications for LCA methodologies or, identification of new development directions for rail transport in relation to the development of the Circular Economy.
Together with stakeholders and experts from other projects, members of the stakeholder group will approach topics such as the life cycle of services, rolling stock and infrastructure related to the rail sector. All these topics will be oriented towards social accessibility, which supports the social dimension of life cycle assessment (accessibility to public services, education and labour market mobility).
