ENERSELVES celebrated its final conference on 15/10/2020. Due to travel restrictions and following the Public Health advice, the event was developed online, to guarantee the protection and safety of speakers and attendees.
ENERSELVES team programmed an interactive event that provided an enjoyable experience for everyone involved, promoting dialogue and boosting shared learning about the self-consumption in buildings. The event is showing results from the implementation of the project Action Plans in 7 regions of 6 different EU countries. Remarkable results thanks to the cooperation among partners and joint learning.
The conference started with a warm welcome from AGENEX Director, Cosme Segador, who introduced ENERSELVES project. After him, Olga García, Regional Minister for Ecological Transition and Sustainability, explained the key role of self-consumption for the implementation of Extremadura's Regional Plan of Energy and Climate, that will lead the energy policies for the next ten years.
Then, Charo Camacho, Interreg Europe's Policy Officer, presented the State of play of the Programme. She was followed by the intervention of Carlos Montoya , Chief of Solar Department of IDAE (Institute for Diversification and Energy Savings of Spain) who spoke about the Spanish regulatory framework of self-consumption and the prospects of energy communities.
After these keynote speeches, the partners analysed the impact of ENERSELVES project in the participant regions, ending the session with a Q&A slot and a group dynamic to assess project achievements.
