Nicosia Development Agency presented the 2LIFES project during the 2nd (Limassol) and 3rd (Paphos) workshops of the Interreg Med project BLUEISLANDS.

As it is well known, synergies among projects is a key element in developing good practices. During these workshops, Eleni Malekkidou, who is involved in 2LIFES and on behalf of ANEL, presented the project to a total of 120 local stakeholders including Local Authorities, Horeca operators, representatives of waste management sector, NGOs and professional unions.

Both workshops have been a great opportunity to raise awareness and disseminate the 2LIFES project at a national level, reaching a specific audience already involved in developing good practices for the sustainable development of their territories. An exhibition of alternative eco-friendly items and sustainable solutions for the tourism industry took place after the workshop. The workshops were organized by the Department of Environment (Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment) and the Lead Partner of the Blue Island Project (Interreg Med).
